After a 7 year run as founder and Artistic Director of Ritz Voices, Deborah McDuffie is now Artistic Director for JACKSONVILLE MASS CHOIR.
McDuffie is also credited with creating and producing “Amateur Night at the Ritz”, one of Ritz Theatre’s most successful programs.

McDuffie’s non-profit arts foundation, Arts4Jax, Inc. has received a grant from the Jaguars Foundation providing funding for a summer arts camp as well as the expansion of her community music school to include after school and evening instruction in choral music, dance, musical theatre, drama, filmmaking and puppetry.

The more I worked with Ritz Voices and Paxon students the more I realized how powerful the arts are in bringing young people from diverse cultures and economic backgrounds together. There has been a natural evolution in my work with youths that has led me to this point in my journey.

McDuffie has developed 2 new choirs, Jacksonville Boys & Girls Choir for grades 2-8, and Jacksonville Mass Choir for high school and college vocalists. She continues as Chair of Fine Arts, Director of Choral Studies and IB Music instructor at
Paxon School for Advanced Studies
Ritz Voices is continuing as the stellar group it is under the able direction of McDuffie's former Assistant Director, Damien Daley.

McDuffie is credited with being the first female composer producer in the world of advertising.
After graduating from Western College for Women at the age of 20, Ms. McDuffie was hired by McCann-Erickson Advertising Agency to compose and produce radio and television commercials for Coca-Cola, Miller Brewing Company, Sony, Disney, McDonald's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, General Motors and more.
She started her own music production company in 1977. In 1982 McDuffie may have been the first female producer to sign a major record production deal, signing with Columbia Records.
